Nestled between the mountains and the resplendent foliage, the white Camelot tents make for a perfect setting for an event. Many attendees make a point of making lodging reservations for this Columbus Day Weekend event. Since it is also Canadian Thanksgiving, be sure to book well in advance. 200 artists and artisans will be chosen from a vast pool of applicants to participate in the area’s most glamorous art and craft festival. This show represents the pinnacle of artistic quality in the region. Elegant pottery, glimmering blown glass, fantastic furniture, svelte clothing, wondrous weavings, luxurious leather, original art, and fabulous photography are some of the media on display. As usual, at a Craftproducers Festival, there are no imports and no buy/sell products—just honest creative artists and artisans under the glorious, heated Camelot tents. In a sense it’s like experiencing 200 different boutiques except that there are no bar codes! All kidding aside, the thousands of attendees, locals and leaf peepers alike, flock to this show to begin (and in some cases end) their holiday gift shopping.
